What Sells On eBay?

Deciding to sell on eBay is easy.  Figuring out what sells on eBay is a whole other story.

So I woke up one day and decided I was going to start selling on eBay.  Why not?  Lots of people sell on eBay and make good money at it.  I like to buy from eBay so I know what I look for in a listing, how I like it set up, guarantees, even shipping.

Sounds easy enough, right?

Get a product, list it, then sell it to make a profit.

But I had no idea as to what sells on eBay and I honestly did not know where to get the products once I learned what did sell.

I started doing some research online and let me tell you.  That is like beating your head against a brick wall repeatedly.

Painful but gets you no where.

People sell on eBay all of the time so how come no one tells you where to get your ideas from and how to actually get things cheap enough that you can actually sell it cheaper then they can get it else where and still make money on it?

Have you started to beat your head against the wall yet?

Hopefully not!

I would like to help you avoid some of the frustration that I went through when trying to find what sells on eBay.

There is actually a really simple way to discover what sells on eBay.

It’s called eBay pulse.  When you log into eBay do a search on something and then scroll down to the bottom till you see a link called eBay pulse. This will tell you what the ten most popular things that are selling on eBay are.  It also lets you sort by category.

It really does help you find what sells on eBay right now.

When I was just starting to sell on eBay I was talking to a good friend of mine who is a powerseller selling baby clothes.

I asked her how she got started selling on eBay and how she managed to sell so much.  She basically said she learned from other power sellers from a program called Sky High Auctions.

I have to admit that I checked it out.  How could I not when she said that it was the best investment she had made to learn how to sell on eBay.

I was really impressed with all of the information that I got on how to be a power seller on eBay and there is no way I would have found out all of the little tricks they use by myself.  Well I might of  eventually but it would have taken a long time and chances are I would have been thoroughly frustrated and given up before I did.

So I got the information I needed on how to be a powerseller on eBay and I learned how to see what sells on eBay and there was only one thing missing – Where to get the hot selling items on eBay to be a power seller with.

Back to my good ole friend (what are friends for, right).  She said she did a combination of things.

1. She would by namebrand baby clothes either on clearance and hold them till the next season or go to the thrift store and find name brand clothes that still had the tags on them and hold them till the next season.

2. She used a wholesale drop shipper. She had one in particular that she really liked called SaleHoo.  She said SaleHoo was the best out there because all of the wholesale drop shippers were tested by real people and you got real reviews on them before you used them.

She said that that was invaluable because if you have ever tried drop shippers then you know that they are not always honest or reliable. That makes for a major headache.

I did go over and check it out but at this point I was getting a little bit nervous.  I didn’t have a ton of money I could spend but at the same time I’m sure she didn’t either when she first started selling on eBay and what is the point of asking for help if you are not going to accept the help.  Especially since it is not every day that you can get help from someone that is excellent at what you want to do.

So I took the plunge and signed up with Salehoo and holy cow!  There were drop shippers for anything I could want to sell and she was right, there were honest reviews from people who already used them so I knew which ones to use and which ones to avoid.  It was really great too because some of them had no minimum amount you have to buy.

That means that I could by one or two of something to test out one eBay to see how in demand they were (no breaking the bank to see if I was going to lose my shirt or not).

It was really awesome of my friend to share what made her successful on eBay with me and I hope I have been able to help you out like she did me.

Here are the links to the programs she used and showed me to use so you can check them out if you would like:

What To Sell On eBay

Selling on eBay sounds like a good idea. You know plenty of people make very good money by selling on eBay but when you think about selling on eBay you can’t quite get past the question of what to sell on eBay. Your not alone in this and it’s not only a question of what to sell on eBay but also how to sell on eBay.

The only way to make money selling on eBay is to be able to buy products for cheaper then they are selling for. As you look around at things you could sell you notice that you will not be able to get nearly a good enough deal to sell things on eBay and still make money. In fact, most times you would be lucky to break even.

Here’s what no one really talks about when it comes to selling on eBay. The best place to get products that you can make a profit on is to get them through a wholesaler. When you buy from a wholesaler you can get things for a fraction of the cost and what’s better is that not all wholesalers require you to buy in bulk.

This also solves the problem of what to sell on eBay because when you go through a trusted wholesaler you have a wide array of products to choose from.

So how do you know what to sell on eBay that is selling right now?

Simple. Go to eBay’s home page and then do a search for anything that you want. Now when your listing shows up scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and you will see a link that says eBay Pulse (or just click on the link here).

What this shows you is the most common searched for things right now. You can also see what items are most watched. What is really neat is you can break it down into categories to see what people are searching for most in each category.

Do you think you could get some ideas from that?

And do you think that if you had access to wholesalers selling those products for much cheaper then normal people could that you could get your listings up on eBay and make some money?

I’m willing to bet you would stand a pretty good chance.

So know you should have a very good idea on what to sell on eBay. Next you need to get yourself some reliable wholesalers. Happy Selling!

Sell More On Ebay

You’ve got your listings on eBay up and running, your store set up, and maybe even making a few sales but know your wondering how to sell more on eBay. The only way to sell more on eBay is to get more visitor’s.

The more people who actually see what your selling the more you are going to sell.

So… how do you go about getting more visitor’s to your eBay store?

The best way to sell more on eBay is to get listed in a search engine like Google. When you get your eBay store listed in the likes of Google you will see an increase of traffic to your store. It is basically a numbers game. The more people who see what your selling the more sales you are going to make.

How do you get listed in the search engines?

The easiest way to get listed in the search engines is to learn how to market your store. This is important if you want to sell more on eBay.

The easiest way to get listed in Google is to do something called article marketing. Basically what it is is you write articles about what you are selling and at the bottom of your article you include a link back to your store.

This does two things:

1. When Google indexes your articles they follow the link back to your store and in turn the index your store. Basically they discover that your store exists. Do you know who else discovers your store exists from the articles? Potential customers.

2. It helps you rank in the search engines. One of the easiest ways to get listed in Google is to get links back to your store.

You are going to want to make sure that you are using anchor text (your keyword or what your selling) to link to your store.

For example, lets say you are selling a Sony HD 52″ tv. You will want your anchor text to be Sony HD 52″ tv because that tells Google that your store is about that so when someone types Sony HD 52″ Tv into Google, if you did it right your eBay store will appear in Google’s listings.

So how do you get anchor text into your link?

You have to use an HTML code. It looks like this – <a href=”http://www.ebay.com/yourstore”>Sony HD 52″ TV</a>

Http://www.ebay.com/yourstore is the link to your eBay store and Sony HD 52″ Tv is your anchor text.

The more you learn about marketing your store on eBay the better you will be able to sell more on eBay.
