If you are considering buying AffiloJetpack you are no doubt wondering if it is really worth it or not. Will it actually help you as stated or is it just another waste of your hard earned money?

I know, I’ve been there (more then I would like to admit). You get excited about a new program that promises to actually help you learn how to make money online only to buy it and be let down.

It’s not going to happen this time because in just a few minutes you will know whether or not AffiloJetpack is something that you want and will help you or whether it is something that you can take a pass on because you know how to do everything already.

Regardless as to whether or not you think AffiloJetpack is right for you I urge you to sign up for Mark Ling’s free 5 step formula to earning money online. You can get that Here.

This post is going to be separated into four parts – What is AffiloJetpack, who will actually benefit from buying AffiloJetpack and who does not need it, a look at Mark Ling the creator of AffiloJetpack, and my actual review of AffiloJetpack.

So What Is AffiloJetpack?

Affiojetpack is a complete business model.

- You are able to choose 5 out of the 10 niche markets that are chosen by Mark Ling himself.

- One click install of WordPress

- A custom WordPress theme that is easy to customize with a touch of a button instead of using coding.

- 3 or more designed headers per niche

- 20 high quality articles per niche to use as website content

- One year of free hosting

- 3 Free reports per niche to either use for newsletter sign ups or for bonus’s

- 80 top quality email series per niche, all organized in a year sequence. The emails include very informative emails, scarcity, and hard sells

So who will actually benefit from purchasing AffiloJetpack?

This is a big one because if you do not need it the only thing that will be accomplished is you will be unhappy with your decision to buy AffiloJetpack.

Okay, so who is it actually for?

People who get stuck when it comes to finding the right niche.

For a lot of people that are new to affiliate marketing finding the right niche to promote is hard. It can be a real sticking point because if you pick one that does not produce well you have not only wasted a lot of time (which is very precious when you have a day job and family) but it becomes very frustrating that you have worked so hard for nothing.

With the Affilojetpack you get 5 niches that are proven winners so it takes the guess work out of it.

People who have either never built their own site before but know that it is the way to go or people who have tried to build sites in the past that kept running into obstacles with the technical side of building a site.

If you have never tried to build your own site but know that that is the best long term business model or if you have tried to build your own site before but kept getting hung up on the technical aspects of building a site will greatly benefit from AffiloJetpack.

It takes all of the guess work out of learning to build a site with a push button WordPress set up, a fully customizable theme that requires no coding knowledge to customize, no need to learn how to outsource content creation, no initial market research, or anything else that goes into creating a website from scratch.

Because there is such a steep learning curve when learning how to build your own sites many people just give up.

People who know how to build sites but don’t see the success they want because they do not have a newsletter series on their sites.

We have all heard that having a newsletter series is where the real money is but many of us either do not have one on our sites or are just plain not good a making them. Most of us that do have newsletter series on our websites only have them set up for the first month or so.

Yes, we can outsource but the problem with that is that to outsource a newsletter series for a year long series it will cost upwards of $1000. A lot of money when you are just starting out in a niche.

AffiloJetpack takes care of that problem with 80 newsletter per niche that are already sequenced for a year long newsletter.

People who don’t have the patience needed when using SEO as their main traffic source.

AffiloJetpack provides information on how to get traffic to your niche sites quickly so you can see a quicker return on your investment. SEO takes a long time to work to get traffic to your site so if you are not very patient then you need to use other methods as well to get moving quickly.

People who are more advanced affiliate marketers who simply like the vast amount of content that AffiloJetpack offers for the price.

If you have no problem setting up your own sites and getting them earning but know how much it would cost you to get the quality and quantity of content this package offers.

Who does not need it?

If you know how to easily set up your own sites and do the research. You have an awesome outsourcing person that you use, you have an auto-responder series set up for a year plus per website, you make great money affiliate marketing, and you are generally all set when it comes to succeeding with affiliate marketing then AffiloJetpack will have nothing left to offer you. Good Job! Keep doing what you are doing.

Click Here To Visit The AffiloJetpack Website

A Look At Mark Ling The Creator Of AffiloJetPack

So who is Mark Ling and why should you care?

Mark Ling is the creator of AffiloJetpack as well as an awesome free resource Affilorama and a easy to follow and learn course called Affiloblueprint (teaches you step by step how to build affiliate sites that make money).

Everything I have ever seen done from Mark Ling has been of the utmost highest quality and what really makes him different from the other “gurus” is that unlike most of them who make all of their money from selling us junk programs on how to make money online, he actually makes money from niche websites that have nothing to do with online marketing.

If you have never heard of Mark Ling I would highly suggest that you visit Affilorama because it is one of the best free resources I have found that teaches you the basics of affiliate marketing.

I do not trust many people online but I know that if Mark Ling is involved with it then it is pure gold.

My actual review of AffiloJetpack

This is going to be short and to the point as you already know what AffiloJetpack is all about.

The basis of it is that you can have 5 high quality websites in a short amount of time without spending a fortune on either outsourcing all of the content or spending months getting a website up in a niche you are not sure is going to produce. If you are looking for a push button that requires no work on your part this is not it however this is about as easy as you are going to find.

A Look At The Content

The content that you receive with each niche is plentiful but what I was surprised about was the quality of the content. This is not the normal content that you would expect – decent but not really good. It is all well written and it will actually help people. If you are not actually looking to help people online then you are in the wrong business. You help them, they help you.

If you are going to use PPC then you can just put the content on your website with no worries however if you are going to be using organic traffic for your sites then you need to rewrite the content that you put on your site for the best results with your websites.

The Newsletter

The newsletter series is great and in my opinion the best part of AffiloJetpack. You can use this as is which is an awesome time saver and it is made up of great quality stuff. It also includes hardsells written by Mark Ling himself. It is laid out in an optimized sequence to get you the most sales possible so that takes out all of the guess work. It is also for a year long.

Setting Up The Website

Setting up the WordPress websites does not get any simpler then with AffiloJetPack and I really like the theme you get, nice and clean, without a lot of distractions. It will really optimize your sales.

AffiloJetpack is well put together and worth getting whether you are new to Internet Marketing or are more experienced but are looking for high quality content at a low price. I would not expect anything else though since it was created by Mark Ling.

Deciding to sell on eBay is easy. Figuring out what sells on eBay is a whole other story.

So I woke up one day and decided I was going to start selling on eBay. Why not? Lots of people sell on eBay and make good money at it. I like to buy from eBay so I know what I look for in a listing, how I like it set up, guarantees, even shipping.

Sounds easy enough, right?

Get a product, list it, then sell it to make a profit.

But I had no idea as to what sells on eBay and I honestly did not know where to get the products once I learned what did sell.

I started doing some research online and let me tell you. That is like beating your head against a brick wall repeatedly.

Painful but gets you no where.

People sell on eBay all of the time so how come no one tells you where to get your ideas from and how to actually get things cheap enough that you can actually sell it cheaper then they can get it else where and still make money on it?

Have you started to beat your head against the wall yet?

Hopefully not!

I would like to help you avoid some of the frustration that I went through when trying to find what sells on eBay.

There is actually a really simple way to discover what sells on eBay.

It’s called eBay pulse. When you log into eBay do a search on something and then scroll down to the bottom till you see a link called eBay pulse. This will tell you what the ten most popular things that are selling on eBay are. It also lets you sort by category.

It really does help you find what sells on eBay right now.

When I was just starting to sell on eBay I was talking to a good friend of mine who is a powerseller selling baby clothes.

I asked her how she got started selling on eBay and how she managed to sell so much. She basically said she learned from other power sellers from a program called Sky High Auctions.

I have to admit that I checked it out. How could I not when she said that it was the best investment she had made to learn how to sell on eBay.

I was really impressed with all of the information that I got on how to be a power seller on eBay and there is no way I would have found out all of the little tricks they use by myself. Well I might of eventually but it would have taken a long time and chances are I would have been thoroughly frustrated and given up before I did.

So I got the information I needed on how to be a powerseller on eBay and I learned how to see what sells on eBay and there was only one thing missing – Where to get the hot selling items on eBay to be a power seller with.

Back to my good ole friend (what are friends for, right). She said she did a combination of things.

1. She would by namebrand baby clothes either on clearance and hold them till the next season or go to the thrift store and find name brand clothes that still had the tags on them and hold them till the next season.

2. She used a wholesale drop shipper. She had one in particular that she really liked called SaleHoo. She said SaleHoo was the best out there because all of the wholesale drop shippers were tested by real people and you got real reviews on them before you used them.

She said that that was invaluable because if you have ever tried drop shippers then you know that they are not always honest or reliable. That makes for a major headache.

I did go over and check it out but at this point I was getting a little bit nervous. I didn’t have a ton of money I could spend but at the same time I’m sure she didn’t either when she first started selling on eBay and what is the point of asking for help if you are not going to accept the help. Especially since it is not every day that you can get help from someone that is excellent at what you want to do.

So I took the plunge and signed up with Salehoo and holy cow! There were drop shippers for anything I could want to sell and she was right, there were honest reviews from people who already used them so I knew which ones to use and which ones to avoid. It was really great too because some of them had no minimum amount you have to buy.

That means that I could by one or two of something to test out one eBay to see how in demand they were (no breaking the bank to see if I was going to lose my shirt or not).

It was really awesome of my friend to share what made her successful on eBay with me and I hope I have been able to help you out like she did me.

Here are the links to the programs she used and showed me to use so you can check them out if you would like:

Sky High Auctions

Salehoo

Making bath salts is great to keep for yourself or to give as gifts. Plus with a little creative packaging you can start your own bath salt store.

With bath salts easily ranging from $10-$15 dollars for a jar who wouldn’t want to make their very own batch of bath salts in the comfort of their own home.

Basic bath salt ingredients:

Salt – This can be a combination of salts or just one salt alone. Most people prefer to use a combination because it adds a little something to the texture and appearance of your homemade bath salts.

So what kind of salts should you use?

Epsom Salt

Sea Salt

Natural Dead Sea Salt

Hawaiian Red Alaea Sea Salt

Bolivian Rose Mountain Salt

Baking Soda – helps make your skin softer

Coloring and Fragrance – This is optional but most people like their bath salts to look pretty and smell good.

Natural Moisturizer’s – Adding natural moisturizes to your bath salts is optional as well but I think that once you make a batch with moisturizers in it you will never skip this step again.

So what moisturizer’s should you include?

Grapeseed oil – Makes your skin feel silky and smooth

Avocado Oil – known for it ability to give your skin added nourishment

Apricot Oil – This is great if you tend to have sensitive skin

Good old fashioned Olive Oil – very gentle on your skin

Basic Bath Salt Recipe:

3 Cups Of Salt – This can be any combination of salt that you would like it to be. I generally make sure that I have at least one cup of Epsom salt and then use one or two more kinds of salt to equal three cups of salt.

1/2 – 3/4 cup of Baking Soda

1 Cup of your Natural Moisturizing Oil – Again you can pick whichever moisturizer suits your needs or none at all. This step is optional.

Fragrance and Coloring of your choice – For both of these it is recommended that you start out with just a few drops and increase it until you are satisfied with the way it smells and the color it is.

Mix it all together and put it in an airtight jar. Let it sit for a few days before you use it.

Be creative and experiment with this recipe. Part of the allure of bath salts it that they are pretty to look at and smell heavenly.

A great way to sell Christmas ornaments is online. When you have a store online you can reach more potential customers then you could even imagine.

Why sell Christmas ornaments online?

There are a few good reasons why you should sell your Christmas ornaments online as opposed to selling them at a local craft store or even by placing ads in your local paper.

1. The sheer amount of people you can reach online. No matter how well you market your ornaments off line you will never be able to get as many people looking at what you are selling offline as you can with the same marketing efforts online.

2. Cost. It is much more cost effective to sell your Christmas ornaments online then it would be to sell them at a craft show or even out of your home.

To set up your own Christmas ornament store online will cost a fraction of what it will cost to sell them offline. Even if you do not know how to market your online store and you need to buy a course to learn you would still come out ahead.

So… Where would you sell Christmas ornaments online?

The best place to sell your ornaments online would be at Etsy.com. Etsy is a marketplace just for crafters.

When you sign up to sell your crafts at Etsy, you are given a specific URL for your store. You are then able to personalize the store to your liking and to make it stand out from the rest of the stores.

To list an item in your store it costs .20 for three month. You can have as many or as few items in your store as you want. It has a feedback system similar to Ebay but the way they are set up is nothing like Ebay. It is much more user friendly, when someone visits your store they can see everything you have for sale, and it costs less to sell your crafts at Etsy.

Click here to learn more about using Etsy to sell your Christmas ornaments.

What about marketing your online ornament store?

Whether you are selling your ornaments online or offline marketing your store is essential to having a successful business.

Click here to learn more about how to market your online ornament store.

If you haven’t already done so feel free to sign up to my free 6 day mini course on selling your crafts online. In it you will find a step-by-step guide for setting up your craft store, how to personalize it, how to set it up to make marketing it much easier, and much more.

Making your own Christmas ornaments can be a fun and rewarding craft. There are several different ways in which you can make ornaments.

Making Christmas ornaments using a clear glass bulbs

One of my favorite ways to make Christmas ornaments is by filling large clear glass bulbs with interesting things.

What you need:

Large Clear Glass Bulbs

Things of interest – feathers, beads, pine-cones, ribbon, etc

This is very simple to do and you can produce truly exquisite and classy Christmas ornaments.

How to make Christmas ornaments using the clear glass bulbs:

To make these ornament simply add your things of interest into the clear glass bulbs. This is simple but there are a few things to think about. What color scheme are you looking for. Example, silver and blue, or red and gold. Make sure you add things of different textures and things that will sparkle when the Christmas lights are on. After you have finished adding your objects of interest tie a bow at the top of the ornament.

Painting the inside of clear bulbs

Another thing you can do with clear bulbs is paint the inside of them. This will give you a bulb with a tye dyed effect.

What you need:

Clear Glass Bulbs

A thin paint

How to make painted glass bulbs

With your clear glass bulbs, remove the top and add a few drops of paint inside. You can add whichever colors you would like but if you get to crazy with how many colors you put in you might end up with a brown ornament. Put the top back on the bulb and swirl the bulb around to make the paint disperse in the bulb.

When you are satisfied with the design and coverage of the paint, take the top back off of the bulb and let it dry. Do not put the top back on the bulb until the paint is thoroughly dry. Put the top back on the ornament and either hang it up on your tree or give it as a gift.

Making Christmas Ornaments Using Colored Bulbs

Another way to make Christmas ornaments is to use colored bulbs and either paint a scene on them with an acrylic based paint or use glue to design your bulb and sprinkle glitter on the bulb.

What you need:

Colored Christmas ornaments

Elmer’s Glue

Glitter

Acrylic Paint

How To Make Christmas Ornaments Using Colored Ornaments:

To Paint ornaments – Start with a plain colored ornament. Make sure that it is free of dirt and is completely dry. With acrylic paint but any design you would like your ornament to have on it. Let dry overnight before hanging on your tree or wrapping it up as a gift.

To make designs with glitter – Start out with a clean dry ornament. Draw your design on your ornament using a liquid glue (like Elmer’s white glue). Coat the entire ornament with a layer of glitter and let sit for a minute. Shake off the access glitter from your ornament and set the ornament aside for twenty four hours to let the glue fully dry before you either hang your ornaments on the tree or wrap up as a gift.

Using glitter on ornaments is very easy and inexpensive to do and the finished product looks beautiful.

Experiment and have fun when making homemade Christmas ornaments!

Are your handmade Christmas ornaments beautiful enough to sell?

Gift baskets make truly wonderful gifts. They are perfect for giving to coworkers and friends alike. They also take some talent to put together which is why if you are great at making gift baskets then you should definitely consider learning how to sell gift baskets online.

There are a few options available to you to sell your gift baskets online.

1. Etsy – Etsy.com

The first options available to you to sell your gift baskets online is Etsy. Etsy is a website solely for crafters to sell their products. This is in my opinion the best way to sell your craft online. What is really nice about Etsy is that unlike Ebay, you actually set up a store so when someone visits your store they can see everything you are selling in one place. It also has very low listing fees (.20 a listing).

Another nice feature of Etsy is the Alchemy feature. This allows a potential customer to actually request what they would like to see in a gift basket. This can provide you with many more customers since they are able to get exactly what they are looking for.

2. Ebay – Ebay.com

Ebay would be the next best option next to Etsy for selling your gift baskets online. The reason I place them at number two for selling your gift baskets is because they are more expensive to list your baskets, there is more competition so it is harder to get your gift baskets seen, you are not able to customize your baskets to your customers request, and in order for your potential customer to find all of your gift baskets for sale they have to click through to your store.

Don’t get me wrong, Ebay is a very viable option for selling gift baskets online. I just feel that Etsy is a little bit better.

3. Craigslist – Craigslist.org

Craiglist is a place where you can set up free ads. While this option is free it is also a bit limited. Because Craiglist is like a classified ad you can only target potential customers in a certain area. You are also only able to run one ad at a time for you gift baskets. Multiple ads on the same product go against their rules.

4. Usfreeads – UsFreeAds.com

Usfreeads is another place to list classified ads for selling your online gift baskets. Usfreeads is actually more global as in you do not have to target your local market. The downside of using Usfreeads is that unless you are a paid member you can only post 10 ads at a time. This is also a very good option for marketing your Etsy store or Ebay listings once you have set them up but I wouldn’t recommend using them solely for selling gift baskets online.

Click Here To Learn More On How To Market (Get Customers) Your Online Gift Basket Store

Now that you no longer have to wonder how to sell gift baskets you should consider actually setting up your gift basket store. If you haven’t done so already and are planning on using Etsy to sell your gift baskets then I would recommend signing up for my free mini course. It is a step-by-step guide on setting up and personalizing your Etsy store designed to help you get your store fully up and running in the next five days.

Making herbal soap is really quite easy to do and it looks and smells wonderful. There are many combination’s you can use when making your own herbal soap.

In order for your herbal soap to have the desired effect you are after it is important to not only learn how to make herbal soap but to also have an understanding of the herbs you are using to make your herbal soap.

Below is a simple recipe for making herbal soap.

What you need:

1. A mild and unscented soap

2. A double boiler (preferably not metal) – If you do not have a double broiler then you can easily boil water in a pan and set a glass bowl on top of the boiling water.

3. The herb(s) of your choosing – see below for a list of herbs and their properties

4. Soap Molds

How to make herbal soap:

1. Start out by cutting the bars of soap into slivers and set aside.

2. Bring about 1/4 cup of water to a lite simmer and add 2-3 tablespoons of chopped herbs of your choice. Remove the pan from heat and steep the herbs for 15-20 minutes.

3. While the herbs are steeping, start melting the soap slivers in the double boiler.

4. When the soap is melted you can either just add the herb water to the melted soap slowly or add the herbs and water slowly to the soap mixture. I usually add the herbs also as it makes for a very pretty soap.

5. Stir the soap and water mixture until the are blended together and pour into a lightly oiled soap mold.

6. Let the soap harden in the molds (the soap will be of a softer consistency then when the bar of soap you started with).

7. After you have taken the soap out of molds let them cure for 3-4 weeks before wrapping them up and using them.

Play around with this recipe until you get the desired consistency and intensity of the herbs that you like.

If you want the soap to be colored add your coloring when you are blending the herb water and melted soap together.

And most importantly, have fun when your making herbal soap!

Herbs have the amazing power to enhance the mood you would like to be in. A variety of common herbs and what they are known for is listed below. Find the perfect ones to suit your needs and have fun experimenting!

Herb Properties (always test the herbs on a small patch of skin for 24 hours before you use them to make soap with to make sure you do not have a bad reaction to them)

Thyme, Tea Tree, and Lemon have antiseptic and antiviral properties

Basil, Hyssop, Spearmint, Rosemary, and Oregano all help invigorate your mind and body

Lavender, Jasmine, Anise, and Myrrh are reduce stress and promote calmness of your mind

Sage, Ginger, and Chamomile relax your muscles

Cedar Wood And Lemongrass are good for oily skin

Another way to decide which herbs to use when making herbal soap is to just use what smells wonderful to you.

Making household items at home, including making cold process soap, is becoming more and more common. There are a few different reasons for this, and all of them are good. One is that families are doing more things together to encourage learning and bonding. Another is to save money, since making things at home is generally cheaper than buying them in a store.

If you are interested in creating your own soap, there are some easy ways to do it. Some methods require cooking the mixture, but you can make it without heat. Making cold process soap does require some caution, but it can be done relatively safely and in a fairly short period of time.

If you are looking for a comprehensive guide on making handmade soap I would recommend you check out Soap Making Fun: Your Visual Guide to the Cold Process. It’s a video that walks you through the cold process soap making method. Perfect for the visual learner.

Click here to visit the Soap Making Fun: Your Visual Guide to the Cold Process website.

The first thing you need to do is to gather everything you will need for this project. For the first step, creating the lye mixture, you need to have an accurate scale. Digital is best, especially if it can measure tenths of an ounce. Put an empty pitcher on the scale, turn the scale on, and then pour distilled water into it. This way you get the perfect amount.

Since different recipes will call for different amounts of ingredients, you need to follow the recipe. But it is very important to follow the instructions for making cold process soap exactly. If you don’t your soap won’t come out properly.

Once you have the water measured, take a clean jar and place it on the scale. Then pour your lye into it. If you can, do this outside or open the windows in the kitchen to get the most air-flow possible. Be very careful whenever you are working with lye, even if it is dry! Lye is hazardous, and even dry grains of it getting into your gloves or sleeves is bad!

With gloves and safety goggles on, slowly pour the lye into the pitcher of water. Take all precautions not to make splashes, and never add water to the container of lye! This can cause a violent chemical reaction. Once you use a pitcher for this, label it clearly with “LYE, DANGER” and only use it for making cold process soap in the future.

Gently stir the mix until the lye is dissolved. You may hear some fizzing or boiling, and this is normal. Lye is useful, but it is an acid, so don’t be surprised when it acts like one. The chemical reaction will bring the mix to a high temperature, sometimes to over 200 degrees F, so make sure the container will stand up to this. Set the mix aside in a safe place to cool while you prepare the rest of the soap.

Now you need to weigh your oils. For the liquid oils, most people use olive oil when making cold process soap, but you can also use such things as sunflower or canola oil. For the solid oils, coconut oil, palm oil, or cocoa butter are popular types. Measure the oils carefully and slowly, since you can always add a little more, but once you have put them into the mix you cannot take them back out.

Melt your solid oils in a stainless steel or enamel coated pot, stirring gently as they melt. Use a thermometer to keep track of the oil’s temperature, and shut the heat off when it reaches about 110 to 120 degrees F. Continue stirring until all the oils are melted. Once no more chunks are present, add the room temperature liquid oils into the pot. This should bring the mix down to about 100 degrees.

The next step in making cold process soap includes the lye mix, so get your gloves and goggles on. Again, do this outside or with all the windows open in order to clear out any fumes. The lye mix should either be room temperature or just be a little warm. If the container the mix is in feels hot, it needs more time to cool.

Put the lye mixture carefully into the fats and use a slotted spoon to mix it in. When it is all mixed switch to a stick blender. This can be done without a stick blender, but stirring with a spoon will take upwards of an hour, and the blender can achieve the same results in a few minutes. Use short 5 second bursts with the stick blender, keeping your face well away from the pot.

While you are making cold process soap your fragrance mix should be sitting to the side. This should be added once the oils and lye are fully blended but aren’t getting too thick. Slowly add the fragrance in and stir the mixture gently until it really begins to thicken. When a little mixture dropped from the spoon onto the top of the mix leaves a little dent, it is ready to be put into the molds.

There are a couple ways you can mold your soap. If you want, you can go to an art and craft store and find some inexpensive soap molds to use. There are many that are for making cold process soap, and many people like the convenience on this option. The other way is to line a flat box with a trash bag and pour the mix onto the bag.

Let the soap sit in a warm room for about 24 hours, and then it should be done! Once it is cool, pop the soap out of the molds, or pull the block of soap out of the box and cut it into bar-sized pieces.

As you can see, making cold process soap takes a little care, but it isn’t difficult to do. You can add just about any fragrance or color into it that you want, and with just a little bit of work, you and your family will be able to enjoy your homemade soap!

Because of this, you will not have to worry about chemicals irritating your skin because you will be responsible for everything that is in the soap.

The first thing you will want to do when making your soap is weigh out 32 ounces of cold water. You must be very careful and make sure that the water is cold enough because the lye that you will be using does not react well with hot water and it could be dangerous.

If you are looking for a comprehensive guide on making handmade soap I would recommend you check out Soap Making Fun: Your Visual Guide to the Cold Process. It’s a video that walks you through the cold process soap making method. Perfect for the visual learner.

Also keep in mind that the lye will react with the cold water and will get very warm. It will also give off some gas, so make sure that you do not breathe this in because it can be very harmful to your health.

You will want to make sure that your lye and water mixture has enough time to cool off before it is handled and this will take about three hours. Make sure that this is kept in a safe place because ingesting lye can potentially be fatal.

Once the lye is back to room temperature, you can begin the actual cold process soap making. You will want to carefully measure out the fats that you will use because this is how to shape the soap.

Heat these fats in a pot, but make sure that you keep a close eye on it because once it reaches about 130 degrees, it is ready to come off the stove.

You will need a thermometer to keep track of the temperature because once the fat reaches the desired temperature, it must be removed from the heat and poured into the lye solution.

Stir these two solutions together very carefully, while ensuring that you do not splash yourself during this cold process soap making.

Once these two solutions have been mixed, you will want to blend them in together for about five minutes.

You will end up with a thick soapy substance at this point and it will continue to thicken as time goes on. This is how the cold process soap making is finished, as the two solutions will bond together and will slow turn into a solid, as long as you have the correct amount of everything.

Once the soap is extremely thick, which will take about an hour of mixing, you can add your own scent. You can purchases these scents separately and it will definitely allow you to customize your soap.

Once this has been completed, it is time to pour your soap into a mold and wait for it to solidify.

It will take about 24 hours for your cold process soap making to be completed and for your soap to turn into a usable substance but once that time is up, you will be able to remove the bar from the mold.

You can then cut the soap into any shapes that you want and use it to wash your body. This is an extra gentle soap recipe, so it should be very kind to your skin and will allow you to shower without skin irritation.

Common soap Making Ingredients:

Lye – used in most soaps but you can make soap without using lye

Base Oils and Fats – There are a multitude of oils you can use for making soap. When starting out use what ever oils and fats are recommended in the recipe you are using. Once you have been making your own soap for a while you will become comfortable with the different oils and how to use them.

Almond Butter, Almond Oil,Vegetable Shortening,Apricot Kernel Oil,Avocado Butter,Avocado Oil,Canola Oil, Castor Oil,Glycerin Soap Base, Grape-seed Oil, Jojoba, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the list goes on and on can all be used for base oils and fats

Botanicals and Essential Oils – Used to make the soap smell good

Coloring – This is optional but you have many choices when it comes to coloring your soap.

Synthetic Coloring – Synthetic coloring is the most common food coloring and can be use to achieve just about any color you could want when making soap.

Natural Coloring – Slightly harder to find but is still readily available. This is good to use if you would like to make your soap all natural. The colors achieved by using natural coloring are not as vibrant as when you use synthetic coloring but they are most certainly better for you.

Making your own coloring – Making your own coloring using colors found in nature is more for fun then anything else since natural coloring is readily available.

Extra Soap Making Ingredients

There are many extra things you can add to your soap to make it more unique.

Moisturizers – Adding moisturizers to your soap is a good idea especially if you are trying to make luxury soap.

Exfoliate – Many soap makers like to include little things to add exfoliating properties to there soap. A few things you can add are almond powder, jojoba beads, or even coffee grounds and ground oatmeal.

No matter what you choose to use for your soap making ingredients always stay safe and have fun when you are making your own soap.
